The nomadic life has certain requirements: need a lotta phone time. I have great times with local friends and even family, but my faraway friends really lift me up. Gotta remember this.
The other day I'm trudging diligently on the treadmill of wake-work-lunch-work-walk-dinner until it's after dark and the phone rings and since I don't like to answer my boyfriend picks it up. Hello? It's a long ago faraway friend. Before I even say hello my emotional status and energy level shift gears. If I were a deer my ears and tail would flipped up and I'd be bounding through fields. Why can't I shift gears like that on my own?
